Scrabbleathon
The
Scrabbleathon was our major fundraiser this year.
Check out the Scrabbleathon page here.
You can still sponsor a child via the
Fundraise On-Line web pages here.
Last
year, the 'Bulb Fundraiser' was one of our most successful
initiatives - it's a wonderful way of supporting the national
subsidy fund AND having gorgeous healthy spring flowers
at home!
Timing
is tight, though, so you need to order right away. Last
year a few people missed out on their first preferences,
so this year we have brought the deadlines back by a week.
We've
had great reports back from buyers of bulbs last year -
very happy with the quality and success of their planting.
We've
got a short term this term, and we want you to have the
bulbs before Easter - so please check the dates and deadlines
below
.
ORDERS
AND PAYMENT DUE TO YOUR
ODS/SP TEACHERS
BY 5 MARCH 2010
Bulbs
are also a great gift idea, and with Mother's Day coming
up in May
what a lovely way of saying 'thanks, Mum'!
So
- check out the catalogue, make your choices and get your
order and money back to your One Day School or Small
Poppies teacher by 5 March at the latest.
Payment
may be made by credit card, cheque or internet banking.
Please phone (09) 845 4176 or 0508GIFTED for information
on electronic payment options.
(How
about asking your friends, family, neighbours and work colleagues
as well!)
ENTERTAINMENT
BOOKS
The
Centre sells Entertainment Books each year. They are
available from mid-late March each year, and some areas
sell out very quickly!
Books
are available through us for Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington,
Christchurch and Dunedin/Invercargill/Queenstown (new in
2010).
The
Centre gets a percentage of funds from each sale, and these
funds STAY in the region of the sale. Over the past three
years, many classroom items (eg musical instruments, digital
cameras) have been purchased through the funds raised
items that our classes may not have had otherwise.
Please
think of contacting your local Coordinator, or Head
Office if youre thinking about an Entertainment
Book youll really be helping us make a difference!

MOVIE
FUNDRAISERS
Auckland
had a movie premiere fund raiser of "Mamma Mia"
at the Lido Cinema in Epsom on Thursday 10 July. Over $1500
raised from the evening will be going towards fee subsidies/scholarships
for One Day School children.
THANKS
TO ALL WHO ATTENDED, and to CONTINENTAL CARS for providing
spot prizes.

If
you have any ideas on fundraising opportunities please contact
us, we will be delighted to discuss any potential options
with you.
